The Fairfield Society of Hillsdale College commissioned me to do this poster for a lecture by Hillsdale history professor Dr. Richard Gamble (author, by the way, of the book Searching for the City on a Hill, which I think has a brilliant cover and which I hear is a brilliant book). They supplied the graphic, so all I had to do was craft a typographic setting for it with the needed information. The orange is one of my favorite colors, so when I saw how well it worked with the image it didn’t take me much time at all to choose a color scheme.
