As an in-house graphic designer for the Charles Koch Institute from March 2016 to June 2017, I created illustrations to support the marketing of small events that we host locally and around the country. This was one of the most creative parts of my job, and I loved the whole process of making images that visually represented the message or topic of the event: brainstorming, ideating, sketching, working with the event coordinators, and finally executing. Many of my illustrations use some kind of combination of vector work in Illustrator and lighting and texture effects in Photoshop. Occasionally, all the work is done in one program or the other. I’ve uploaded a few of my favorite illustrations.
